Adelaide Inclusive School Holiday Guide – October 2025

Updated: Sep 25

Spring vibes, sensory-friendly picks, and inclusive options for families around Adelaide

If you're staring down another school holiday wondering how to fill the days (without burning out before day three), you're not alone.

I put this guide together because I know how hard it is to find activities that actually consider what our kids need - without having to scroll 47 different sites and make a bunch of phone calls just to find out if there’s a ramp, or a quiet space, or if the “everyone’s welcome” actually means anything.

This is for families like mine. Where support needs are just part of the day-to-day. Where an activity needs more than just a start time and a blurb to be helpful.

How this guide works:

Everything listed here is either:

  • On the Inclusive Kids Guide site (which means you’ll be able to see exactly what supports are in place via the Inclusive Aspects Checklist), or

  • A calm, low-key option that doesn’t need bells and whistles to be a good day

You'll see links to each listing so you can quickly check what’s offered — things like access info, sensory-friendly setups, group sizes, and whether it’s a structured or self-paced vibe.

Not every activity will suit every kid. That’s not the point. The point is giving you enough info upfront to figure out what might actually work.

Monday 29 September to Friday 10 October 2025

And Spring is my favourite time to get out and about - if you know where to go. I hope the below activities and ideas help to ease some of that pressure of finding activities your kids will love and feel supported in.

Before scrolling

We’ve split the Inclusive Kids School Holiday Guide into two sections this time:

Activities - usually run for an hour or two, and you or a carer will stay with your child.

Day Options - more of a drop-and-leave setup, like school holiday care or full-day group programs.

Makes it a bit easier to figure out what’s actually going to work for your day (and your brain).
